Can the company who hierd me as a consultant harm my new business ventures in UAE as I have there resid. visa?

Background : I am independent green building consultant operating in India, Middle east and UK. One of my Dubai client after calling me few times on a visit visa in end of September 2007 gave me a resident visa and hired me a a retainer with a fixed compensation , I was working with them not as an employee but a trainer consultant. I visit Dubai for them once a month say for 150 hour/ month to deliver my duties till date. There is also a explicit clause that i can work for any one with in my engagement with them. Now when am willing to leave them formally as they haven’t payed my dues and nor they are reverting back with any clarification. What is the right way to ask them to close all my association with them so that i can carry on my other contractual engagements smoothly and face no non righteous and aggressive ban on my travel.

Working for others than the sponsor is, as per the Labour Law, considered an illegal act, and the Ministry of Labour is very strict against such acts. As per the new law, the penalty is very severe and reach a fine of Dhs 50,000. This is considered a delinquent act which is not completely waived before five years have lapsed. Moreover, the sponsor cannot waive the same as it is related to the public right.

You have to “resign” by giving the company a 30 days notice. The company then has to cancel your visa and labor card. The Ministry of Labor will impose a 6 months working ban automatically.

If you want to receive UAE residence again, your current employer has to provide you with a NoC, so sponsorship transfer is possible.
If you just coming to the UAE doing business frequently, apply for a multiple entry visa.
The UAE has introduced a new multiple entry visa regime, making it mandatory for applicants to have
a health insurance and deposit Rs 11,000 as a financial guarantee.

According to the new rules, the visa holder can enter the country several times during the six months from the date of issuance and stay for a maximum of 14 days on every visit.

    Hope this answered your question.
